Instituto Lina Bo e P. M. Bardi |
 |
The
Instituto Lina Bo e P. M Bardi was founded to foster and expose
the Brazilian art and culture inside the country and abroad. Through
cultural diversity, the institute offers to the public access to
relevant and unknown aspects of the Brazilian artistic and cultural
thought and production.
The Institute, through exhibits, publications, videos, lectures,
conferences and discussions, is an unquestionable reality in the
national cultural scene, keeping up the ideals of two of the greatest
patrons of the arts in Brazil.
Donated in 1995 by Professor Bardi to house the Institute's headquarters,
the Glass House was designated by CONDEPHAAT as historical patrimony
in 1987. Projected in 1950 by Lina Bo Bardi as the couple's home,
today the Glass House holds part of their particular art collection
that they acquired throughout the years. |
